HOW WE HELP AND SPONSOR THESE MISSION FIELDS

  • Every month we send a missions offering to every pastor to assure food for their family.
  • We pay the teachers of the Haiti School monthly.
  • We sponsor a few children in each congregation, who are members of families living in poverty. We contribute $25.00 per month, for the child to attend school, for their uniforms, necessities, etc.  Sometimes this is the only income for the entire family.
  • Several times a year we take food, clothes, shoes, medicine, bibles, water, and all kinds of help to give to the poor, not only in the churches, but also to the families in the community. We give them hygiene products such as toothpaste, deodorants, soaps, etc.
  • Twice a year we conduct medical clinics. Doctors travel from Puerto Rico and offer their services to the community. They supply treatment and medicine.
  • We have taken chairs from Puerto Rico to three of our churches. We are working hard to purchase more for the rest of the congregations.
  • We have taken four power generators to some of the churches. We need two more.  (All the churches need power generators, because even where there is electricity, most of the time it’s unavailable).  In these countries there is an energy crisis.
  • In Guatemala we have a compelling need to take or buy bibles there.  People are poor and what little they earn is for them to purchase food.  They cannot purchase bibles. We have taken some, but they weren’t enough. There’s a beautiful group of young people that are in great need of biblical material, especially for their needs. We need to buy land to build a church for them to worship God.
  • Twice a year (in June and December) a group of our congregation goes with us to visit these areas. In June we took school supplies for the following school term and in December we took all kinds of goodies, candy, and toys for the many children. These funds are being worked together with the other activities and some of us give an offering to help.
